Shashi “Sash” Purohit, Founder, President & CTO
With over 18 years of experience in the Telecommunications & Information Technology (IT) industries in a variety of leadership/management positions, Shashi is a proven Software veteran of OSS/BSS, Telecommunications Networks, Network Management Systems, and Embedded Networking Software. With a passion to succeed and an entrepreneurial spirit Shashi was instrumental in developing Architel’s flagship Service Activation software (ASAP), now owned by Oracle and deployed in over 100 Telecommunications companies world wide. Shashi has experience in multiple roles include Software Architecture, Software Design & Development, Product Management, and Professional Services having worked for such world class companies as Architel Systems, Nortel Networks, and World Wide Packets. Shashi founded AmberNet with the vision to capitalize on the Service revolution made possible by broadband networks. Shashi has BS and MS degrees in Physics, Computer Science, and Management (MBA) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and University of Colorado, Boulder.
Dave Schriver, Vice President, Professional Services
With over 20 years of telecom-specific experience in a variety of leadership/management positions within the industry, Dave Schriver is a proven veteran of the OSS/BSS consulting & software market. Dave’s ability to lead Consulting Services is well proven, with his past experience in leading Professional Services as well as Software Development teams with such industry players as Aliant, Architel, Nortel, MetaSolv, and Oracle. As a former Senior Director & Vice President, Dave brings with him a deep understanding of the challenges facing the telecom industry. Also, Dave’s experience in related fields, such as Partner Management and Sales Support, enable him to bring a broad perspective to AmberNet’s Consulting initiatives. Mr. Schriver's experience in senior management provides the AmberNet Technologies leadership team with a leader who fully understands the complexity of OSS/BSS at all levels, and fully understands all aspects of the Consulting business.
Ken Byrd, Sales & Services Executive
Ken brings over two decades of Engineering Management, Marketing and Sales experience to AmberNet. He has worked with software product development and services companies providing OSS/BSS solutions to tier one Power Utility and Telecommunications companies around the world. Ken has repeated tenure as a key member of the management team guiding start up and early stage organizations through significant growth periods which ultimately achieved market leadership. The diverse senior positions Ken has held with companies such as Itron, Architel Systems, Nortel Networks and MetaSolv, across the areas of Software Development, Professional Services, Business Development and Sales will be instrumental in guiding and establishing AmberNet Technologies as the next market leading company enabling the telecommunications revolution.
Derek Cornelius, Chief Engineer, Software Engineering
Derek brings over two decades of Software Engineering and Architecture experience to AmberNet. Derek was the Lead Principal Engineer of the market leading Service Activation system - ASAP, for Architel Systems Corporation, now owned by Oracle Corporation. Past companies include: Canada Life Assurance, Bell Capital Markets, and Trailblazer Learning where Derek held various titles including Chief Architect. Derek’s hands-on experience and proven technical leadership will greatly benefit AmberNet. He has a B.A.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
